why ne elite

Our mission statement is simple

NE Elite stands out through its mission: TEACH BASKETBALL. TOUCH HEARTS. CHANGE LIVES. This organization prioritizes exceptional coaching by providing teams with the best teachers of the game, emphasizing skill development, strategic understanding, and a holistic education in basketball. Alongside fostering a love for the game, NE Elite creates a positive impact on players’ lives by focusing on personal growth and character development. Additionally, the program ensures that all its teams, across every grade level, are highly competitive, representing excellence in New England basketball.

We supports both National, Regional and Local level boys teams starting with 3rd graders and going through high school, up to age 17. Teams are formed two times a year – in early September for the Fall season and in early February for the Spring season.

TRYOUTS

Our program holds tryouts twice a year, in the Spring and Fall, and players already on teams must try out each time. Tryouts for each age group are run by the “A” or “National Select” team coach and include drills in ball-handling, shooting, defense, running as well as scrimmages. The players’ skills, effort, behavior, and attitude are important factors that coaches consider in making their selections for the team.

COMMITMENT LEVEL:

Participation on an club team demands a big time commitment from players and families.

PROFESSIONAL COACHING MODEL:

Available coaching positions are announced for the Spring in November and for the Fall season in June of each season. All available coaching positions are posted onto our website, eventually leading to a selection of candidates being interviewed and potentially hired by our Basketball Operations tem.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP:

Our program is comprised of a Basketball Operations Department who serves as the chief administrators of the basketball program. The operations department consists of a Senior Director, Chief of Staff, Boys Program Directors, Operations Director and Player Development Director.

PROGRAM CURRICULUM/ENVIRONMENT:

Our Organizational Leaderships will work with all coaches to ensure that there is consistent instruction that builds a foundation of skills, drills, and team play in our middle school program that transitions players into the High School Program. Coaches will also provide an environment that demonstrates good sportsmanship, respect for the game, referees, coaches and teammates and emphasizes development of life skills through competitive sports. Coaches’ expectations for players will be according to the “ELITE Basketball Creed”    PLAY HARD, PLAY SMART, PLAY TOGETHER
